I think I really need your advise.

I really hope to stay in this lab. I love everything here. And I very happy to get along with everyone here.
Before I applied PhD, I had planned to be an electrophysiologist
and I wish I can be a research faulty in my home country. But why I love to do electrophysiology. I think that is when I was in college,
I was a summer student in a genetic lab. I did hundreds of times PCR and sequencing to find the mutation or SNPs in some kind of disease,
studying the correlation between patients and population. And the disease I worked on is related to a sodium channel.
That was my first contact to ion channels. Then I decided to study ion channels on cellular level.
In my thesis, most studies are via fluorescence and biochemistry methods. I begin to realize that I want to learn electrophysiology and
I hope I can be the expert.

By using of electrophysiological method, I can directly see through
the activities of channels and the cell-cell connection. I think this is the most fascinating thing in electrophysiology.

Now I am facing a cruel situation. I need to settle on a lab to stay before next semester, or I can't complete my registration.
And if so, I can't pursue my PhD degree in this program.
I always think this lab is the best choice.
Although Dr. Herrup's research is also interesting, I do not know if I rotate in Dr. Herrup's lab,
I still can do electrophysiology.

So I would like to ask for your advise.
